PARENT - TODDLER PROGRAM

Parent-Toddler Class Notes

The Parent-Toddler program is designed to address the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of the 15 month to 30 month old child. In addition, the Parent-Toddler program serves as a mini introduction to Montessori Methods and philosophy for the parent. Acting as a non-participating or passive observer, the parent remains within the child’s sight serving as a point of reference. This affords the child a zone of comfort and provides the security to expand his/her world. As the child establishes trust in the environment, teachers, and peers, a foundation which leads to a secure separation in the future is formed. The specially prepared Montessori Toddler environment is designed to enable the young child to function independently. Specifically trained and experienced in applying Montessori Methods to the education of children birth to 3 years of age, the teachers are here to encourage and support your child’s individual and natural development.

Questions regarding child development and the Montessori Method of education are encouraged throughout the session. [Class Size: 5-8 Children] *Participants in the Parent/Toddler Program will have the $25.00 application fee waived when enrolling in our Toddler Program.
